If you are fasting to lose weight and detox your body then the 5 day Water Fast is the way to go.You are simply going to only drink water for five days. This is one of the hardest fasts to stick with and we only recommend it for people that have gone through a less strenuous program. To properly complete this fast you will have to have extreme discipline.

What Should I expect from the Five day Water Fast? You should expect a dramatic increase in energy. You should also notice a 7 to 10 pound drop in weight.

What do I need to consider before fasting? You should always consult your doctor before changing your diet this dramaticly. You should make sure that you feel that you can complete the fast. Consider taking a good multi-vitamin.

Steps to 5 day Water Fast

1. Purchase a five gallon bottles of water. your goal for the next five days is to drink a gallon of water a day. That is about sixteen 8oz glasses a day. This may seem like a ton of water when you first get started but you will see the benefit very fast.

2. Remove any temptation that may slow you down. hide all of the junk food and coffee. You want to stay away from anything with calories. The goal of this fast is to eliminate all toxins from your body and release fat cells.

3. Get yourself a good multi vitamin. Now is a great time to start with a multi vitamin it will absorb into your body easily with no other calories to stop its absorption.

4. Wake every day and make sure the first thing you do is drink two full 8oz glasses of water. Start your day with a flush off all the toxins that have come out of your system through the night. This is very important and you will most likely experience a major ash of energy. Once these toxins start to leave your system. Simple things like drinking water or taking deep breaths will give you major bursts of energy.

5. Make sure you drink fourteen more glasses of water a day. Have two of these glasses back to back a hour before retiring to bed. The intent is to do a flush of all of the days toxins from your system before you go to bed. Adjust this time if needed so that the last thing you do before bed is to go to the bathroom one last time so that the toxins are flushed.

Complete these steps for five days. It is best to start your fast in the evening of the first day so that you get the first eight hours in sleep. Make sure you wait and finish your fast at the same time of day five days from your start.

    i have done a 5 day water fast before and when i was done with it i ate nothing but junk cause i was ready to eat all of the things that i loved at that point in time. what can i do when i’m off of my fast to keep the weight off? i am on my 2nd out of 5 day water fast and i was thinking of doing 1 day juice fast rite after and then 2 days fruit and veggie fast will that do?
